    Abstract:

Applications: This Project relates to acquisition of three dimensional 3D depth information of an object field or space for the purpose of three dimensional imaging. More specifically, this is directed to develop a system for facilitating acquisition of the 3D depth information for monocular camera or imaging device facilitating the 3D imaging.
Advantages: 1. Distance can be calculated using a single camera which is generally available in a mobile phone. 2. Can be used for obstacle detection for visually challenged persons.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
