Please give more details of new technical application area:
Denture border molding process Impression compound is a thermoplastic material, and sticks are commonly used for border molding For the conventional border molding procedure, a direct flame is used for thorough softening. Once the compound is added to a flange area of the impression tray the material is tempered in the hot water bath for approximately 5 to 8 seconds Immersion in a hot water bath provides an acceptable but minimal working time. Because of the minimal working time and difficult handling of modeling compound, it has been recommended that border molding using modeling Current methods/ Practice Currently this is done manually by using green stick compound by heating it over the flame Bunsen burner and adding it incremental along the borders of the custom trays The uneven heating of green stick compound leads to burns in patient mouth as the users are not able to control the temperature This lead to increase in patient chair side time and also inconvenience for the old patients New Technology developed An Automatic Dispenser is fabricated for an automatic, thorough heating of the compound. This device can apply the stick compound with suitable viscosity for border molding

    Abstract:

Applications: Indian Healthcare market is undergoing changes and patient centric approach is the core of all new development With the current focus on patient care the demand for shorter chair side time and minimum discomfort to patient lead to the invention of Automatic Dispenser for Border Molding Material This device will make the dentistry simpler for the denture cases and also the new generation of dentist will adapt faster to new changes which will reduce the time and effort to give the desired result This technique using a new device can make the border molding procedure faster and simpler. It provides comfort to the dentist and the patient With less chair side time in border molding the dentist will be able to deliver the denture faster and concept of 1 day dentures will make the life of patient comfortable who currently need to visit dentist multiple times to get dentures TP19763459344-app.pdf
Advantages: Advantages of the current Technology Innovation An Automatic Dispenser is fabricated for an automatic, thorough heating of the compound. This device can apply the stick compound with suitable viscosity for border molding This ensure a uniform heating of the green stick compound and a uniform layer across the borders of custom trays. It is easy to apply an even 2 to 3mm thickness of modeling compound on the buccal or lingual flange area of the custom tray at once The hot water bath is not needed for tempering because the device does not use direct flame, lengthening the working time. The border molding technique with this device saves time and equipment and is easy to learn Indian Healthcare market is undergoing changes and patient centric approach is the core of all new development With the current focus on patient care the demand for shorter chair side time and minimum discomfort to patient lead to the invention of Automatic Dispenser for Border Molding Material This device will make the dentistry simpler for the denture cases and also the new generation of dentist will adapt faster to new changes which will reduce the time and effort to give the desired result This technique using a new device can make the border molding procedure faster and simpler. THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
