GeoSadak System is currently live and will be launched soon. This System is developed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). PMGSY was launched by the Government of India to provide connectivity to unconnected habitations in order to provide continuing access to economic and social services thus increasing the agricultural incomes, employment and other economic opportunities for the rural population. PMGSY-III envisages consolidation of the existing Rural Road Network by up gradation of existing through routes and major rural links that connect habitations to rural agricultural markets, higher secondary schools and hospitals. GeoSadak enables collating, managing, online spatial data quality report, editing and serving geospatial data in real time. System will be utilized by all the state government departments and ministry of rural development for new road proposal, upgradation, monitoring and management. This system brings in complete transparency, accountability, paperless and speedup the processes. geosadak-pmgsy.nic.in

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
