    Abstract:

Applications: An affordable and accurate, non-invasive, simple to operate device along with its software and data integration platform for highly reliable monitoring of cardiovascular health for personalized as well as large-scale community monitoring.
Advantages: The invention relates to a noninvasive device based on applanation tonometry for monitoring pressure waveform. The device has a modular design and uses flattened plunger for arterial compression, with the geometry and underlying analysis well-supported through detailed computational and experimental analysis. The non-invasive device is simple, affordable, and cuffless. Diagnosis of hypertension and its management is a critical healthcare need in India and other countries. It is an alternative to invasive method of BP waveform analysis It enables prediction of diseases or abnormalities such as Hypertension or Hypotension, Peripheral Arterial Disease, Acute Ischemic Stroke, Hypercholesterolemia etc
