    Abstract:

Applications: 1. The subject matter of the present invention is directed towards an automatic book page turning (ABPT) device and a method thereof, wherein said ABPT further includes an automatic book page separation and page lifting device (ABPSL). 2. The ABPSL comprising: at least a suction unit, adapted to overcome an electrostatic attraction between a current page and a following page, and wherein said suction unit further adapted to support said current page while lifting it and a motor to control operation of said suction unit.
Advantages: 1. An automatic book copier that uses the automatic page turner does not need heavy image processing. 2. The automatic page turner can perform the functions of page separation and page lifting reliably and gently. 3. The automatic page turner can be applied to hardbound books. Although an automatic book page turning (ABPT) device have been described in language specific to structural features, it is to be understood that the embodiments disclosed in the above section are not necessarily limited to the specific features or devices described. Rather, the specific features are disclosed as examples of implementations of the ABPT.

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
