Abstract:
The present invention discloses a process for dispersion of broken agglomerates of nanoparticles in viscous fluid comprising the steps of mechanical mixing of 100-200 grams of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol. A resin having viscosity of 30-45 poised as epoxy resin with 40% weight of nanoparticles of 20-30 nm size to obtain modified epoxy resin; mixing of said modified epoxy resin with solvent, which is subjected to mechanical stirring to obtain slurry; the slurry as obtained is subjected to a mixed mode mixing process involving vibration so as to disperse and break the agglomerated nano powder within the epoxy resin, and final production of well dispersed 20-40 nm size inorganic nanoparticle filled viscous fluid containing fine clusters of size as high as of 40-60 nm.

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
