The Union Cabinet has approved the constitution of an Empowered Technology Group (ETG) with the Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India as its Chair. One of the key objectives of the ETG is to maintain an updated map of technology and technology products available and/or being developed across India. In view of this, the ETG has inter-alia “developed a digital catalogue of all the technologies and technology products developed by all public Sector Enterprises and R&D Organizations, including Transfer of Technology from foreign countries”.
