    Abstract:

Applications: The present invention relates to a targeted multimodal formulation comprising mesoporous nanoparticle having a pH responsive coating and an aptamer(s) conjugated to said mesoporous nanoparticle, the pH responsive coating is optionally carboxylated. The formulation may further comprise an anticancer agent.
Advantages: 1. The present invention relates to a nanoparticulate formulation for diagnosis and treatment of cancer. In particular, the formulation is for diagnosis and treatment of triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). 2. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a reliable targeted multimodal formulation, which target and kill cancer cells at a higher efficacy and specificity and overcome disadvantages of chemotherapy so as to improve the survival rate of patients. 3. Provide a reliable targeted multimodal formulation, which target and kill cancer cells at a higher efficacy and specificity and reduces drug efflux. 4. Provide a reliable, multimodal formulation comprising a chitosan coated mesoporous nanoparticle loaded with an anticancer agent. 5. provide a reliable, targeted multimodal formulation comprising: chitosan coated mesoporous nanoparticle loaded with an anticancer agent and an aptamer.
