The system does person identification based of face images. Given a query image captured from product camera, the system pulls all face images and does matching of query image with all database images to find best match and displays the identity name of the person. The system uses state of the art machine learning models for face feature extraction and matching.

    Abstract:

Applications: Touch less Face based Person identification having possible applications in access control, employee attendance system. Live person identification system
Advantages: This technology improves upon touch based finger print technology. Face identification is touch less biometric identification technology. This technology is indigenously developed using free and open source software technologies. It is built using state of the art machine learning and deep learning algorithms.

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
