Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ankle rehabilitation and exercise equipment which can be useful in rehabilitation of the impairment in the ankle. The mechanical equipment can prove to be beneficial for various different movements of the ankle including Dorsiflexion & Plantarflexion, Adduction & Abduction, Pronation & Supination as well as ankle circumduction. With the help of this device, a user can make different movements from a single pivot axis. Here the multi-directional quality angles are achieved by changing the orientation of the user's foot and ankle to the resistive movement about the pivot axis. In this regard, a foot plate, which is moveable in multiple directions, secures the user's foot in the desired orientation parallel to the pivot axis. Straps can be added, changed or removed as per need to achieve maximum benefit of the user. According to the invention, there is provided ankle rehabilitation device comprising a base 01 mounted with a first pair of vertical members 02, 03 placed opposite to each other maintaining a gap there between connected by means of a longitudinal member 52 supporting a pedal 67 in connection with a pedal supporting part 37, wherein a second pair of vertical members 05, 06 for carrying weight is positioned next to said first pair of vertical members.

THE VISION
THE MISSION
ABOUT I-STEM
It has always been the basic tenet of the Government of India, in generously funding R&D efforts at academic institutions over the years, that facilities established through such support be made available to those needing them and qualified to make use of them for their own research work

However, this was never easy or straightforward for, among other reasons, there was no ready source of information of what facility was available and where. Thanks to the Web, it is much easier today to have a national and regional “inventory of resources”, so as to match users with the resources they need, and to do all this in an efficient and transparent manner.

This can lead to a leap in R&D productivity and greatly enhance the effectiveness of public investment. This is the motivation behind I-STEM.
