Description
:
- All the R&D facilities in the various labs of host University/Institution, must be listed and required information such as usage rates, suppliers and service providers, status of the equipment, and last date of AMC must be provided at 1-STEM Portal.
- The no, of interns/TP shall not be more than two in any circumstances and shall not be supported more than 6 months or till the arrangement made by the host institution, whichever is earlier.
- The TPs/interns selected should have a suitable technical background (ITI/Diploma/Polytechnic/Bachelor/Master Degree in medical/engineering, or science etc). They shall support I-STEM activities (if and when desired by the I-STEM office). The interns should not be students/research scholars of the host institution/university in any manner.
- The TP shall attend the training sessions (online and offline) conducted by the 1-STEM office, subsequently, the TP shall schedule the training for un-employed youth of the local region to generate the skilled manpower. Such training shall be notified via the I-STEM portal as well as other appropriate means to get suitable applicants.
- The TP will be responsible for the following: (a) operating and maintaining facilities designated to them; (b) training researchers of University/Institution as well as those from nearby universities/institutions to make them independent tool operator and un-employed youth of the local region to create a pool of tool technologists to fulfil the needs of other labs: (c) enhancing facility usage through the I-STEM portal by inviting internal and external users on pay and use basis, through appropriate advertisements: (d) assisting in generating funds for operation and maintenance.
