Description : A universal testing machine of 100 tonnes capacity is available in the Centre. Standard tensile tests and compression tests on materials, components, and construction elements can be performed with precise results. Also the equipment has an extensometer and shear testing facility. The UTM is hydraulic operated for load application with computerized load indicator. A microcontroller based data acquisition system facility is available for data acquisition and indication
