Description : Laminar flow is defined as airflow in which the entire body of air within a designated space is uniform in both velocity and direction Laminar air flow systems equipped with HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters remove 99.97% of particles > 0.3 ?m. In addition, LAF creates a homogeneous flow of air in the operating room with very little turbulence. Laminar airflow is used to separate volumes of air, or prevent airborne contaminants from entering an area. Laminar flow hoods are used to exclude contaminants from sensitive processes in science, electronics and medicine
