Description : LFA-1000/1250-C (Laser Flash Thermal Constant Analyzer)- measures the thermal diffusivity with temperature. Measurement is done from 50oC to 500oC under dynamic vacuum ?10-2mbar. 800oC is the Maximum Temperature until Measurement is Done. Graphite coating is done on the surface of the sample. Before doing this measurement, the relative density, thickness, and DSC/TGA information are required. The sample dimensions are 12.7mm in diameter and 0.5-1.5mm in thickness. Any cracks in the sample or non-uniformity in thickness give the wrong data. For each temperature, the instrument will take 3 best data points. Temperature deviation is ±10oC. Measurement time: For sample loading only will take 1 hour and 30 minutes, for measurement 6-10 hours are required depending on temperature range and number of samples. Cooling down the instrument to room temperature will take 2 hours.
