Description : Flow cytometer is laser-based equipment that allow simultaneous analysis of multiple parameters of cells and sorting of different types of cells basing on their characters. Cells are suspended in a buffer medium and passed under a laser beam along with sheath fluid for cell counting, morphometry, immunophenotyping, biomarker detection, cell cycle analysis. The uniqueness of the flow cytometer lies in its ability to analyse several thousands of cells within a second.
