Description : The instrument is a modular tribometer which can facilitate linear reciprocating sliding The instrument is a standalone table top model with in built controller unit It is designed to facilitate friction and wear characteristic study of materials in bidirectional sliding contact under varying conditions of load and frequency The working principle is to apply a predetermined load on stationary upper specimens either pinball over a bottom specimen the online friction and wear generated between these two materials are used to evaluate the characteristics of the material
