Description : Working Principle ? The fineness of a powder sample is measured by calculating the time required for a specific volume of air to pass through the sample in a permeability cell. A negative pressure is generated using a U-tube manometer with photoelectric sensors, a solenoid valve, and a diaphragm pump, which is balanced by air flowing through the powder bed. Permeability Cell ? Made of non-scaling metal with a 12-13 mm internal diameter. ? A ledge (0.5-1.0 mm wide) should securely support the perforated disc, positioned 50-60 mm from the tube's upper end. ? The lower external wall should have a standard-taper male coupling that aligns tightly with the manometer's female coupling. ? Two permeability cells are required. Manometer ?
