Description : The setup will consist of single cylinder, four stroke, and VCR (Variable Compression Ratio) engine connected to Eddy current type dynamometer for loading. The test rig have a suitable engine to vary the Compression Ratio by raising and lowering the cylinder block and head with proper mechanism without stopping the engine and without altering the combustion chamber geometry. It is coupled through suitable coupling to Eddy current dynamometer. The engine and dynamometer are mounted on rigid steel C-channel frame. In petrol mode engine works with carburetor, Throttle valve, ignition coil and etc. It is provided with air tank, exhaust gas calorimeter. It is provided with necessary instruments for pressure, crank-angle, airflow, fuel flow, water flow, temperatures and load measurements.
