Description : The biofilm reactor consists of a 4 in. (?100 mm) ID, 1250 mm long, all glass column designed for visual observation of biofilm growth and hydrodynamics. The glass body is terminated with robust backing flanges that provide uniform compression and secure sealing during continuous operation. Chemical resistant Teflon rings and Teflon jelly seatings (gaskets) are used at joints to prevent leakage, tolerate cleaning chemicals, and minimize contamination risk. The reactor is mounted on a rigid 1¼ in. B class G.I. pipe tubing support structure that maintains vertical alignment and reduces vibration during flow changes. All connections are tightened using standardized nut and bolt fittings, enabling quick erection/assembly, easy dismantling for cleaning, and reliable reassembly without misalignment.
