Description : Reaction Calorimeter is widely used in chemical and pharmaceutical process development to measure the amount of thermal energy released during a chemical reaction. RC typically consists of a stirred tank reactor in which the temperature of the reaction mass is monitored and controlled accurately. Data obtained under process like conditions is used to evaluate the risk, scalability and criticality of a process & to enable safe scale-up. Process development and Process safety. Reaction Calorimeter can determine heat rate, heat of reaction, adiabatic temperature rise, maximum temperature of synthesis reaction, etc. [Charges mentioned are for reaction time of 1 to 2 hrs, and for one additon step.]
