Description : The drying laboratory utilizes a Bubbling Fluidized Bed designed for agricultural products. The primary column is constructed from Borosilicate Glass or Perspex with a 100 mm diameter and a total length of 1500 mm. Air circulation is managed by a 6 HP centrifugal type air blower. The system includes a heating chamber equipped with a Nichrome wire heater for temperature control. Air flow is measured using an Orifice meter and a U Tube Manometer. Temperature sensing is handled by RTD PT 100 type sensors which track dry and wet bulb temperatures at the inlet and outlet as well as the middle of the column. The control panel features a digital PID temperature controller for hot air ranging from 0 to 199.9 degrees Celsius along with a standard on off switch and mains indicator.
