Description : A scanning monochromatic Al K? x-ray source with a focused beam <10 µm to 300 µm for rapid x-ray induced secondary electron imaging (SXI) chemical state imaging. A nineteen-position aluminium anode with integrated cooling system and safety interlocks. A unique, multi-channel detector and fast electronics for rapid data acquisition and maximum sensitivity for both scanned and up to 128 channel unscanned data acquisition modes. A five axis (X, Y, Z, Rotation and Tilt), high precision, automated stage with in vacuum motors. A 0-5 kV argon ion gun with floating extraction that generates high current density at low beam energy for effective specimen cleaning, depth profiling. The system is fully capable for surveys, high resolution core spectra, sputter depth profile, line scans, chemical images, angle dependant xps, automated analysis and user depend settings. Hot and Cold stage in the temperature range of -120°C to 500°C
