The I-STEM Best Practices Forum 2025 is envisioned as a national knowledge-sharing platform that brings together academia, institutional operators, and administrators to discuss and document effective practices in research facility management, utilization, and inter-institutional collaboration.
The session aims to:
Highlight operational and administrative best practices followed by institutions using the I-STEM portal.
Encourage experience-sharing from on-ground facility managers and academic representatives.
Present proven frameworks for improving transparency, efficiency, and utilization of shared research infrastructure.
Launch I-STEM’s Best Practices Guidelines, Practical Toolkit, and Operator Handbook (Online Edition) to standardize processes across institutions.
Build a collective roadmap toward a sustainable and collaborative research ecosystem across India.
Improved understanding of research facility booking and management through I-STEM.
Enhanced coordination between academia, operators, and administrators.
Strengthened adoption of I-STEM tools for transparent and data-driven equipment utilization.

The I-STEM Best Practices Forum 2025 is a 90-minute virtual event featuring a combination of keynote insights, panel discussions, and launches. It will include voices from academia, institutional operators, and policy leaders to collectively define a standard approach to operating shared research infrastructure.
