One District One Equipment: Call for Institutional Participation
One District One Equipment Banner

Strengthening scientific access and visibility across every district.

A strong national research ecosystem is built on strong local foundations. But India's scientific infrastructure is often invisible beyond the campuses that house it.

Through One District One Equipment, ODOE, I-STEM invites institutions to contribute to a national initiative that improves the utilization, visibility and discoverability of advanced scientific infrastructure, district by district, region by region.

Institutions interested in nominating equipment for ODOE can fill out the application form below:

Submission of this application does not guarantee selection. The I-STEM team will review all submissions and reach out only if the application is shortlisted for further consideration.

About ODOE

ODOE is a strategic visibility initiative. It identifies and highlights advanced, publicly funded scientific equipment across India, helping researchers, innovators, startups, and institutions discover scientific capabilities that exist right in their district.

By improving awareness and discoverability, ODOE supports a more distributed, inclusive, and efficient national research ecosystem.

Why Participate?

ODOE provides institutions with an opportunity to:

  • Put your district's scientific capabilities on the national map
  • Improve the visibility of publicly funded infrastructure
  • Support local researchers, startups, and innovators in discovering nearby facilities
  • Increase awareness and utilisation of your institutional assets
  • Contribute to equitable, distributed access to scientific resources
  • Strengthen your district's role in India's research and innovation landscape

Equipment Eligibility

Institutions may nominate research-grade scientific equipment that:
